SERENGETI, TANZANIA: PHOTOGRAPHERS PARADISE
“As the Lion King celebrates its 15 Anniversary in London this week, our safari expert reveals Africa’s top five parks for lion spotting.
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania one of the few places in Africa where lions are not in decline. Latest figures put the Serengeti’s lion population at around 3,000. The biggest prides occupy the open plains in the South of the park between the Naabi Gate and the Seronera River. If you are lucky you may find them posing on the granite kopjes that rise like ruined castles from the grass.”
World famous Serengeti in Tanzania is the prime tourism destination. It is very rare to talk of the best wildlife sighting in the world without mentioning Serengeti.
Due to the uniqueness of this wildlife sanctuary and the fact that it offers unparalleled wildlife spectacles, it has attracted a lot of film makers and photographers, not to mention tourists flocking the park from around the globe.
The great migration is in Serengeti National Park. The distribution is awesome as partly is at Naabi plains in Southern Serengeti while others are move towards Southern and the rest of the herds are at Lobo and central South at Barafu and Utafiti Kopjes.
